Number 8 Rifle

The No 8 rifle is the primary weapon that cadets will shoot. It is based on the No4 rifle used in the second world war. The main differences being that the No8 uses a smaller caliber round and each round must be hand fed into the chamber. It was designed as a highly accurate training weapon. The No 8 rifle uses a .22 caliber round and cadets shoot in order to group their rounds as close as possible in order to achieve their marksman award.
