Remembrance Sunday – Climatic Injuries

Content

As we approach Remembrance Sunday, it’s essential to prioritise safety while honouring those who served. With the changing weather, remember that cold and damp conditions can lead to climatic injuries, including hypothermia and frostbite, especially during prolonged outdoor events like parades.

Dress in layers, cover extremities, and ensure cadets, volunteers, and all participants stay warm. Hydration is also crucial, as dehydration can increase the risk of cold injuries. Brief everyone on the signs of exposure, and keep an eye on each other.
